Otrohet on Ponce
Matt Thompson
I think about the furniture
in the room where he took you
away from prying eyes
and left hand lookers.
You too could be modular
like Swedish furniture
pressing the small of your back.
Was it Gråfjället or Hattåsen?
You placed me in a drawer for later
by the spatula melted at ends,
the batteries and pens,
no charge left and no ink.
Always pieces left over
and I wonder
will it break at the slightest
pressure or push,
gesture, or look.
Pull out a screw.
It’s all held together
with sawdust and glue.
